Pastor David Boone has been in ministry for over 24 years and actually started as a youth leader at Preakness Baptist Church in 1981. God has blessed him over the years by allowing him to serve His church in New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, Delaware and Georgia. He has served in peace-time and during a war in Kuwait. God has been great as He has blessed David with spiritual growth and maturity through each of these experiences.

 

David was educated at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, graduating with a degree in Christian Studies. He later served in the United States Army with the 3/160th Special Operations Aviation Battalion (Airborne) of Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. He is a decorated veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. David works bi-vocationally as a Juvenile Detective with the Fair Lawn Police Department and also serves as their Chaplain.

 

The love of his life is Cheryl and they are the proud parents of two very handsome young boys, Kiernan and Cameron. David and Cheryl were married in Preakness Baptist Church in 1990 by the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Kenyon. Family is very important to God and God has blessed us greatly.

 

PBC is the 5th church that he has pastored throughout his ministry. His motto is: "Keep Looking UP!" and he tells us that he has two very special scriptures: Psalm 116:6(a) "The Lord preserves the simple." and Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
