Beginning July 1, 1998, Pompton Lakes residents 18 years of age or older can borrow materials from William Paterson University by presenting their current Pompton Lakes Library Card

In October 1994, the Pompton Lakes Public Library became a fully automated member of PALS Plus, the

Computer Consortium of Passaic County. Today there are eight member libraries, with Wayne Public Library the newest member. By the end of 1999, we hope to have eleven member libraries. The resources of Passaic County, Bergen County (BCCLS), and Morris County (MAIN) are available to Pompton Lakes residents through their local library card. In addition, the library can borrow materials through the State Access Center that reaches across the United States.

Always check information in the library and the local newspapers for more details and dates concerning library programs.

In 1997 the library celebrated 85 years of dedicated service to the community. The Pompton Lakes Public Library plans to remain up-to-date and continue to be an outstanding library, providing a wide variety of services and programs for the Pompton Lakes Community. Come in and “see for yourself”.
